My presentation will be about Richard Case Nagell's Stasi files.
One June 11, 1968, Richard Case Nagell boarded a train in Zurich headed to West Berlin. At about 3:00 a.m., it arrived at the border crossing with East Germany, and the authorities found that Nagell did not possess a transit visa. He told them that he intended to go to East Berlin to visit the embassies of the People's Republic of China, North Korea, or Cuba to apply for political asylum.
Nagell was charged with espionage on June 14th.
Arrest warrant for Richard Case Nagell. It accuses him of being an employee of the CIA and of carrying out espionage activities against East Germany and other socialist states.

David Kroman met Richard Case Nagell at the Springfield Medical Center for Federal Prisoners. Stephen Jaffe, a Garrison volunteer, wrote a memo, relating Nagell's story through the eyes and ears of David Kroman.
